My Nokia N95 Video
With the long Easter Bank holiday weekend, I was out an about with my new Nokia N95 – and decided that it was time that I put the video capabilities of this powerful handset to the test.
Sunday was a day trip to Weymouth, Dorset here in the UK and with my N95 in my pocket I tried to capture some of the sights and sounds of this glorious sunny day at the beach.
The video below was captured all on a Nokia N95 – all I did was stitch it together with some photographs (also taken on the N95) and added some music all using iMovie.
Alternatively there is a version on YouTube.Video includes:
- Weymouth Beach & Harbour
- A French Market in the town
- Views of Chesil Beach and Weymouth from Portland
- The Verne Citadel at Portland
- The Lighthouse at Portland Bill
I am no certainly no expert at videoing or using iMove – The results are far from perfect, and could have been edited down a little bit more. The idea was just to demonstrate how easy it is to get pretty decent content together quickly and without much effort!
Let me know what you think..

I watched this video in my Nokia N95! What was the encoding settings you used in iMovie?
Excellent video! And it’s Weymouth, my home town!!
You’ve captured some great images – nicely edited too.
Do you mind if I feature this on the blog?
Mark – I just used ‘Full Quality’ which is 640×480 – and it didn’t appear to be too bad… There are a few glitches in the video, but I think that is down to my Mac being very slow (need an upgrade I think).
I too transferred it to my N95 – and it looks really good!
I’m convinced that N95 is the phone for me!
Fantastic job on the ad for a brilliant phone.
sbecks – Thanks.. The N95 really is as good as it sounds!
